Room needs a total renovation, it was dirty and moldy. Brown spots on walls and ceiling see picture. Molds in the bathroom. Floor feels sticky like it wasn't cleaned properly. Found random hairs on floor, probably from previous guest. Shower tiles were dirty like it was never cleaned for years. Towels were also stained picture attached, no bath mat was given. Didn't even bother to ask housekeeping though. I rarely give 1 star review, but felt the need to write one since I feel all the gloating reviews from other users are misleading. I understand the pandemic hit really hard to the hospitality industry but cleanliness is basic and should be more of a concern. When I first entered the hotel, I was greeted by security and the Manager on Duty at that time. very great experience staying there. The room is nice, with hot water flowing, no smoking odor room, and cool AC. However the hotel reservation system through the MyHorison website, needs more improvement. When I made a reservation through the MyHorison website, I didn't receive a confirmation number through my email, but only three lines messages confirming that I have successfully make the reservation without mentioning the confirmation number and a suggestion to contact a whatsapp number if I hadn't receive another email confirming my payment after 30 minutes. Waited for more than 30 mins, I didn't receive the confirmation number, then I contacted the whatsapp number plus whatsapp number of this specific hotel. They need hours to send me my room reservation confirmation number, and when they finally did, the confirmation showed my reservation was "unpaid" while actually I did pay the room using my credit card. On the check-in date, I gave the print out of the short email and the room confirmation with unpaid status to the receptionist. She took picture of those papers, and asked for a certain number from me, which I didn't have, so I gave her an sms message from my credit card that showed I have paid the transaction. She took picture of my sms from my mobile phone and finalized the process, and gave me the key to my room. From this story you can learn that the reservation process until I got my room was very very painful and stressful. I should say this hotel is really far from the main city, a lot of traffic around the hotel. First time experienced in Nindya, well the lobby is really small but cute and clean. The reception is all friendly, they got me 10th floor. After checked in, I went to my room directly. The room was so big, pretty clean, the Air Conditioner was cold, the room has no carpet so you need the hotel's sandal. The problem is in bathroom, when I showered the water is everywhere like flood please fix this , the breakfast so so, the swimming pool is too small!! Thats all I could say.. Adi Danindra digantikan Fauzi Akbar sebagai General Manager hotel. Fauzi mengatakan hotel Grand Arkenso Parkview Semarang saat ini sedang melakukan renovasi kamar secara bertahap. Selain itu, ia juga memperkenalkan fasilitas dan pelayanan ekstra dari hotel yang dipimpinnya saat ini kepada ratusan tamu undangan. "Kami mempunyai segala macam tipe ballroom yang mampu menampung hampir 300 orang. Selain itu, sekarang beberapa kamar sudah kami renovasi ke gaya yang lebih modern. Yang lebih penting, komitmen kami untuk memberikan pelayanan dan kebersihan hotel yang optimal," ucapnya di atas panggung. Fauzi kemudian mengundang seluruh manajer yang terbagi dalam beberapa departemen yang ada di hotel Grand Arkenso Parkview Semarang naik ke panggung. Di antaranya Temi Executive Asissten Manager, Yuki Banquete Sales Manager, Dini Asissten Banquet Sales Manager, Isana Asissten Sales Manager, Ajeng Public Relation, Nova Food & Beverage Manager, Ugut Banquet Manager, Heri Front Office Manager, Taufan HRD Manager, Amin Executive Housekeeper, Hari Chief Enginerring, Winda Quality Insurance Manager, Ratna Chief Accounting Manager, Agung GYM Manager, dan Dani IT Manager. Di puncak acara, Kepala DPMPTSP Dinas Penanaman Modal Pelayanan Terpadu Satu Pintu Kota Semarang, Ulfi Imran Basuki, yang mewakili Wali Kota Semarang Hendrar Prihadi karena tak bisa hadir, ikut memukul gong sebagai simbol peresmian manajemen baru Hotel Grand Arkenso Parkview. Bersama dengan General Manager hotel dan Kris Saputro Dewan Direksi PT AKS, suara gong yang berbunyi di sambut tepuk tangan seluruh tamu yang hadir. "Keberadaan hotel Grand Arkenso Parkview Semarang saya harap bisa berdampak positif demi kelangsungan ekonomi Kota Semarang yang lebih baik. Kemudian, harus selalu bersinergi dengan program pembangunan yang dilakukan oleh Pemkot," terangnya.
